APG BOSS GAMERs
APG BOSS is seeking "GAMERs" to help with their mission here at Aberdeen Proving Ground and beyond. We see ourselves as a supplement to our senior leadership in their outreach towards the community. The three pillars Quality of Life, Community Services, and Recreation set the foundation of the Better Opportunity of Single Soldiers. In order to better help the community we must first find it within hearts to go the extra inch beyond our comfort zone.
"GAMERs" is a term used by Joe Defranco. "GAMERs" are goal oriented, accountable, motivated, exact, and resilient. While setting goals we use a simple road map; to be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound. Accountable is being able to be there when need. As we all have missions within our units, it takes a certain character to sacrifice their time. Team motivation starts with an individual. Without the initiative of self motivation no project can start let alone be completed. BOSS must set their project their mission and be EXACT to avoid confusion to the team. Resilient, the ability to bounce back through our own struggles to help other can give ourselves a new appreciation for what we have.
